Has Batman gone "batty"?

Wow! How can you assault your mother? Thats messed up! AND your sister! Although I love the dark knight and Bales acting I'm not too fond of his character right now.

They want his money!!!!!I am willing to bet it was over money. They are just lucky he didn't use the Disappearing pencil trick on them :heh::heh::heh::heh::heh:

Bear

I like the fact that it happened Sunday night but he was arrested Tuesday. They said they didn't want to arrest him and disrupt the London premiere. Celebrities really get away with alot!

I like the fact that you act like he did it, when it has yet to be proven he did.

Geez! I forgot you can't state your opinion on this board without getting attacked! My apologies.

And I merely stated my own opinion. It doesn't seem right to me to say he did it, until we know all the facts.

It could be that he did it, then again, it could be a ploy by the mother/sister to get money from him.

Keep the following in mind:

1. This is Britan, not the US - their laws may be different.

2. In terms of Assault and Battery, ASSAULT is the verbal action. BATTERY is the physical action. Usually those two go hand in hand, however the article only states one of them. That leads me to believe that it was not a physical altercation.

EXACTLY what I thought when I read the story. With increasing popularity, things like this are no shocker.

And for the record, I believe The Q is guilty of buying alcohol for underage kids, manufacturing meth in his garage and being a major player in the international sex trade business. I have no proof of his guilt, but hey it's just my opinion.

So it's not alright to think someone could have actually committed a crime prior to a trial but it's perfectly fine to toss all the blame on the other party? Sure makes a hell of a lot of sense.

Well, they claimed it happened. So, either it did, and Bale is a jackass, or it didn't, and the Mother and Sister are jackass extremes. However, to be frank, I think jumping to a conclusion of guilt immediately for Bale is kind of a sad state of affairs. After all, did we learn nothing from the Duke Rape Case?

Did I ever say he was guilty?....No. Do I think he might be guilty? Sure. And I didn't just "Jump" to this conclusion either. If news came out that he was accused of it by either the police or his family that would be one thing. But when you are arrested for something the overall probability that something occured is very good. And just a FYI, a rape charge is a bit different than simple assault (if that is indeed the case here, if it is not I adhere)

The probability that something happened is very good indeed, otherwise there would be no reason to arrest someone. The probability that the person being arrested is the one who actually did the deed, though, is much much lower. You know, because suspects are taken into custody and all only to be released in favor of another suspect. Arrest does not equal guilt.

Oh my god defensive. Relax the sphincter man, not everything posted is a personal attack on you. I was speaking in general, but since you brought it up, you certainly made it pretty clear your take on the matter in your first post.

A rape charge is no different than an assault charge in that it really can come down to a "he said she said" scenerio, again, see Duke Rape Case. I sincerely hope you never serve on a jury with an attitude like the one you have, though, because you would clearly be biased from the start.

All it takes for one to be arrested is to be accused. Here is a prime example:
July 2, 2008

A rape charge against Rikki Rockett has been dropped after authorities determined that the Poison drummer was not in the state at the time of the alleged crime.

Authorities say they are now looking for a man with a history of passing himself off as a rock musician to pick up women.

Rockett was accused of raping a woman at a central Mississippi casino in September 2007 and arrested in March. The Neshoba County district attorney's office confirmed Tuesday that the charges were dropped.

Rockett said he was in California when the rape was alleged.

"I was with my fiance watching her try on wedding dresses," Rockett said in a Tuesday phone interview with The Associated Press from Salt Lake City, where Poison is preparing to launch a 49-date tour. "We've got eyewitnesses to that."

Police arrested Rockett, whose real name is Richard Ream, at Los Angeles International Airport upon his return from a concert in New Zealand in March. The 46-year-old said he's never been arrested before and feared his reputation would be ruined.

"That is one word you don't want associated with your name," Rockett said. "Rape is right up there with murder and child molestation."

Authorities are now looking for John Minskoff, who authorities say has a history of passing himself off as a rock musician to pick up women. Messages left with the Neshoba County Sheriff's Office on Tuesday were not immediately returned.

Rockett held an exoneration benefit party on Saturday to raise money for Centurion Ministries, which aids those who have been wrongly convicted of crimes. He's now in Utah practicing with bandmates in preparation for the tour that starts Thursday.

The hair-metal act that scored hits in the '80s like "Talk Dirty To Me" and "Every Rose Has Its Thorn."
