"On May 21st, world famous Finnish metal superstars CHILDREN OF BODOM will release Holiday At Lake Bodom (15 Years of Wasted Youth), a very special CD+DVD career retrospective in celebration of the band's 15th anniversary.

The release will spotlight specially selected tracks from every one of the band's critically acclaimed albums (1997's Something Wild, 1999's Hatebreeder, 2000's Follow The Reaper, 2003's Hate Crew Deathroll, 2005's Are You Dead Yet?, 2008's Blooddrunk and 2011's Relentless Reckless Forever), plus two newly-recorded (and undeniably fun) cover songs and detailed liner notes penned by the members of COB themselves.

The DVD portion of the package will include "candid touring and backstage footage from around the world”, plus the never-before-seen music video for Relentless Reckless Forever's 'Shovel Knockout'.

'15 Years Of Wasted Youth is the sound of Children Of Bodom working hard, partying hard, being relentless and stubborn," says the band's superstar guitarist / vocalist Alexi Laiho. “We went through many brick walls to get to where we are, and after seven studio albums, two live albums, non-stop touring, bleeding and breaking a lot of bones, I think we are justified in putting this album out. Let the music speak for itself. You have been warned.'"

2 cover songs for a CD that's already very hard to have the best COB songs picked into?

Of course, they could have made this something serious, since a COB Best Of album would actually be the best CD ever released in the history of mankind... but the cover songs and 'Holiday' just aren't very metal. Just my opinion, but they have been partly humorous since they changed style in 2003. I guess if they titled it "Murders At Lake Bodom" there would be juridical shit. Why not just call it "Night At Lake Bodom."

Face the fact that everyone is not as assburger as you are.

Ok, two more months. I think I can wait that long.

@Children Of Bodom: Please hire Joonas as your personal song writer, manager, designer, composer, stylist, personal PR, creative manager, let him choose the songs for the album, the name for the album and every goddamn shit you need.
Apparently "only he knows" what's best for you.

Ok, so 7 albums... 2 songs each?

Deadnight Warrior
Lake Bodom
Silent Night
Downfall
Follow the Reaper
Everytime I Die
Needled
Angels Don't Kill
Living Dead Beat
In Your Face
Blooddrunk
Banned from Heaven
Shovel Knockout
Roundtrip to Hell and Back

With the 2 songs per album system it should go like this, unless they only wanna play Blooddrunk off that album and play AYDY.

Those two re-recorded cover songs are probably first and last. Which of their covers could they have re-recorded... Obviously Don't Stop at the Top is their best cover, while Somebody Put Something In My Drink is nice too, but I see zero reason in re-recording the Ramones cover. Since they're re-recording, I think they're early covers: Mass Hypnosis, No Commands, Hellion, Shot in the Dark, Rebel Yell, or Waiting... Or does "newly-recorded" mean new covers?
