I thought about putting this in the Bust a Gut thread but decided it deserved it's own.

Actually makes the song almost bearable

That's better than almost bearable. that's outstanding. I expected it to be a cover, but they left in the original vocals. Which probably means they can never publish it for profit.

But still, that's a really cool idea, changing the instruments and leaving the vocals in place. Has anyone done that with any other artists, or is this the first one?

This is seriously the best power metal song I've heard in years. Joke or not. Power metal + Pop vocals and melodies = major win.

Somehow I've managed to avoid ever hearing this pop song, even with all the hoopla it caused a while back. This power metal version is awesome, though. I'd love to hear some Paramore songs done with the same treatment.
