Well, I'll take the middle road there and say that I think Black metal is awesome ,but I still prefer Ulver's more experimental modern stuff.

I had the chance to see these guys in June at Hellfest. Didn't know anything at all about them when I stepped into the big tent they were playing. Really enjoyed their music, with an excellent light show and big video screen behind the drummer showing all sorts of cool visuals.

Can anyone point me in the right direction, as far as a couple of albums to start with? They were one of the best surprises of the weekend.
