So I'm looking to try something interesting for vocals.

I'm curious if anyone has tried and double or triple vocal micing techniques.
possibly some combination of mics & distances.

i would say... it's not how many mics you use on vocals. it's what microphone you use on vocals.

but that seems obvious.

try just one of these

well I'm pretty happy with my studio's u87. at least for clean vocals. I still want to get a 7b.
I'm more curious in the idea of branching out into more adventurous techniques. especially for screaming vocals.

I am rather curious about those mics though tim.
do you have any hands on experience with them?

sm7 has a great sound for aggressive vocals... you can also try the sm57 with the tab funkenwerk mod... it comes out sounding a little like the sm7 but a bit brighter (depending on the room).

my father bought a few of these mics (k47) a while ago... and i "stole" one from him.

i ended up never giving it back!

it's so crazy how they got this mic to sound so close to the 67.

fantastic buy imo.
