Renewal has a few good tracks but yeah definitely a "wtf moment".

Instrumentally Renewal is pretty great but Mille's vocal style holds it all back. Just outta nowhere he sounds like shit, like he's trying to copy Ministry or something.

I don't mind that Exodus album tbh.

Im not too familiar with Ministry but i wouldn't be surprised since they tried to go industrial. But yeah a big WTF moment, especially since Coma of Souls was released only two years prior to it. 92-93 to like 97-98 was a very weird time for thrash.

Get rid of the cover songs and ignore the album cover painted by a 2 yr old and it's not as bad as most people claim it is.
