Popcorn and soda at movie theaters

Do you think movie theaters would make more money if they lowered the prices for popcorn and soda in their theaters?

I don't really give a shit about the snacks, but they should have people to quietly garrotte people who don't turn off their cell phones.

I agree with the street justice for cell phone users in the theater!

I doubt the theaters would make any more money since almost everyone buys it anyway. My girlfriend and I always do, then we bitch about the prices while pumping butter-flavored grease all over the shit.

I guess since they've got stadium style seating now, they think they can charge stadium prices.

That's hard to say, but you may be on to something..I can catch a matinee for under $6, so I don't mind dropping a bit more on munchies since I got in relatively cheaply; I think those who pay almost $10 to get in are going to be less likely to spend as much on food.

I don't buy snacks when I'm watching movies but considering the price of movie tickets I'm pretty sure they make a lot of money.
