The stark cover of this cassette release - just a logo on a plain black background - is intentionally reminiscent of Mortuary Drape's debut EP "Into the Drape," and the same influence shines through the music of these Chileans. Already on their second EP in two years together, Samot lies somewhere between the death/thrash of Ripper (with whom they used to share a band member) and the slower, more morbid mood of Mediterranean black metal.
