what is your thoughts of the new Dream Theater. I'm still undecided as to whether this cd is brilliant or a complete waste of time. I know that I am still waiting for an album as brilliant as Images and Words(I liked Scenes but did not think it was landmark album most do). It almost sees as if DT were running out of ideas, or maybe I have'nt listened to it enough. What are your thoughts....

Awake, although the new one is giving it serious competition...Blind Faith, Misunderstood, and of course the title track are works of art. And The Glass Prison is their heaviest song ever and never fails to kick my ass...

I put my vote in for Awake

That album stands above the rest for me. I also love When Dream and Day Unite (yeah that's right you Charlie haters!) and of course Images and Words. The new one is kicking some major ass as well.

Deron...Archetype is awesome, from what I've heard through the almighty Progged Radio. Unfortunately, I don't know anything about them...

I'm going to be stocking their new CD hopefully this coming week. I literally listened to that CD ALL day today. It's fantastic! $11 plus $1.50 ship cdsales@metalages.com

They are an indie band (amazingly enough) from Ohio. www.archetype1.com is their site. I'm trying to get them to let me redo that thing, not very well done.

I'd have to vote for When Dream and Day Unite. James LaBrie gets on my nerves. I'd rather vote on a new singer for DT. Any suggestions?

my vote goes for Ray Alder...form what I hear he is'nt too happy with Fates anyway.

I got to see Fates Warning open for DT on the Awake tour so I'd definately say Ray Alder is the better singer live. Too bad John Arch is living the domesticated life.
