Time, for program 895, as we kick things off with a flashback, as we approach our 900th program. We travel back to July 20th, 2002, program 753, when guitar virtuosos Scott McGill and Bon Lozaga performed live in our studio. Scott and Bon were in the midst of their acoustic tour that covered different cities in the Northeast, and were featured as openers to Buckyball artists, Tunnels. Scott McGill is guitarist/composer of the fusion powerhouse McGill, Manring, Stevens and recently guested on many forthcoming and new releases and tributes as well while being on the cusp of the new MMS release. Bon Lozaga is guitarist in the powerful Gongzilla, Project Lo, and several solo efforts. This was a personal favorite as Bon and Scott performed acoustic versions of the duo's catalog that had never been heard before. Enjoy this special performance!
We'll feature music from our 5th week, #1 disc and The Mars Volta, and their explosive new release, Francis The Mute. We'll feature new music from Canadian project, Trance Of Mine and their emotional Reflections CD. We'll also feature our recently charted highly sought new archive release from Hatfield And The North, titled Hatwise Choice. We also feature German archive release from Grotesk and the new double CD featuring their two releases. We'll also feature PHILLIP JOHNSTON's Fast 'n' Bulbous and their current top 20 disc Pork Chop Blue Around The Rind.
We'll feature Finneus Gauge and their debut More Once More released this week in 1997. We'll also spotlight Steve Hillage's classic Fish Rising released this week in 1975. By request we'll feature Derek Sherinian's 1998 now classic release, Planet X. We'll also feature the Mark Varney Project featuring Allan Holdsworth and Frank Gambale titled Truth In Shredding, and we'll celebrate the birthday of Marillion Keyboardist and long time friend to the program, Mark Kelly.
