trouble with my interface...

Im runing 2.4ghz pent 4 with 512 mb (soon to be 2G)


interface is a Behringer Bcontrol USB interface with monitoring capabilities and whatnot


trouble is, when using the bcontrol, my comp cant handle it. Programs crash, comp shuts down due to overload, playback is clicky etc. I have trouble loading only a plugin or two, depending on what it is.

when i switch to monitoring with my soundcard, everything is all good...


Does it seem like i just need more memory to handle tracking and monitoring through this thing? or should i just look into another interface.

anyone with similar problem?

What latency settings are you using?

With 512mb of ram you can't even dream of running low latency settings on a Behringer interface. Wait 'til you've got the 2Gb and see if the problem still occurs.

Try with the highest settings and change it only when you really have to monitor something.
