Not sure if there is many U.S. underground black metal fans here but I'll shot this out anyway...

When one thinks of Texas the first things to come to mind are often; The Alamo, The Dallas Cowboys, the death of Kennedy, Jr. Uwing, and ZZ Top. But to the legion of heavy metal fans around the world the Lone Star state is known for its rich offering of metal bands. This contribution to American branded heavy metal goes way beyond that of Pantera; Helstar, Watchtower, Solitude Aeturnus, Rigor Mortis and recent Witches Mark just to name a few of the home ground Texan bands. From traditional to doom metal the region has proven itself time and time again to be a hot spot for the world’s heavy metal scene.
In 2010 (tentatively scheduled for release in May) Heaven and Hell Records plan to release a CD archiving of Texas underground cult black metal heroes Of the Fallen (now known as Demontuary).
Originally released self titled EP ‘Of the Fallen’ was released on the Wild Rags label in 1998. Quickly the band began to create a buzz in the underground with their brand of U.S. flavored black metal. Unlike their European peers Of the Fallen brought in a fair amount of early 90s death metal influence and even elements that bring to mind cult heroes like Onslaught and Tyrant (US).
The following year Of the Fallen would issue a second helping of battle hymns with ‘Ancient Gods of Battles Past’. This offering would continue to gain some focus on the band but not to the degree it should have due to issues with the current label and interest in the American black metal underground seeming to shift. As the band began to record their second offering for Wild Rags they would change their name to current Demontuary keeping the same line-up. They would then self release the third effort in 2002 simply titled Demontuary.
Scheduled for release Heaven and Hell Records will release an achieved ECD including the ‘Of the Fallen’ self-titled, and ‘Ancient Gods of Battles Past’. Also included in this enhanced release will be a photo gallery, live clip, and MP3 labels sampler. Look for a May release.
