In September Heaven and Hell Records will launch our new series ‘Lost Relics’. Focusing on uncovering rare hard rock and heavy metal bands from the past, this series is by collectors for collectors.
Over the past 30 years a large demand has continued to grow for obscure hard rock and heavy metal releases that have seen collectors paying outrageous prices for original vinyl and bootlegged releases. This high interest has established strong cult followings worldwide for some bands, and has even led to reunions of some bands.
In response to this interest Heaven and Hell Records will be releasing, for the first time on CD, archived collections of some of metal's most highly sought out treasures. The first three releases in the series include; Overlord (Can), Ritual (US) from New Jersey, and Of the Fallen (now Demontuary) from Texas.
Here is a first look at the cover of the upcoming Overlord ‘Back into the Dragon’s Lair’

Overlord (CAN); Traditional heavy metal that raised a fair amount of media attention and label interest. In time the band would fade into obscurity only to be rediscovered many years later by collectors. Their self titled EP (included in this collection) would become thought of as one of the rarest heavy metal releases ever.
Fans of Manilla Road, Brocas Helm, Slough Feg, Cirith Ungol and Blue Oyster Cult will dig this material and it’s cultish proto-doom metal vibe.
