    HC4!

Given Seattle is a hop skip and a jump, bring back the fucking INQUISITION. Line up needs more Rituals of Human Sacrifice for Lord Baal.

    Video Game Thread (Officially Unofficial)

How did anyone have the patience with Dark Souls. There is difficult and there is ridiculous nonsense. They could have at least made an easier setting so casual gamers could enjoy the visuals and story beyond just the first 30 minutes. All that effort they put into a game and its only for a...

    ATTN: JayKeeley

hey guys, nice to drop by. It's funny I was exchanging email essays with NAD the other day too. Maybe one night we'll have to do a collective RC night in with some beers and Celtic Frost-like thread making, like the old days

    Metallica

"every grade except the lowest would be a lie", haha that is awesome, almost Lovecraftian you have to wonder whether this is more of an embarrassment to Lou Reed than it is Metallica.

david gold from woods of ypres dead in accident

He always had an affinity toward our 'zine thanks to the demo review and interview. We made his liner notes in a couple of releases. At least Pursuit of the Sun if I remember.

Hey Erik. Well, let's face it, for whatever ups and downs with their music, we all know them round these parts because of your review of the demo. Is it still quite possibly one of the best demos ever? Amazingly, it sounded even better live.

    Good Bye My Friend

Terrible news. Great guy, so approachable, and both times I saw WoY live they were spectacular. I have no words. If anyone knows David on a more personal level, perhaps a family friend, please let us know if there is anyway we can offer some donation or condolences to the family he left behind.

the official Woods of Ypres thread

Very sad news. I just saw David in NY on his recent tour (supporting Novembers Doom). Excellent show, nice guy, as friendly as ever, bought the "life is full of pain and piss" shirt. Will wear it today. Their Heathen Crusade show is always going to be one of those grand memories...."WOODS...

DEVILDRIVER and SOIL Confirmed for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009

Yeah, it was you. :goggly: I will campaign my hardest and try to source fan sponsorship for Darkestrah to play Heathen Crusade 4. The world needs more metal from Kyrgyzstan. :kickass: (even if they do live in Germany now) :loco: Hell yes, all except that one diabolical shoe-gazing song. :ill:

DEVILDRIVER and SOIL Confirmed for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009

Is there some sort of fucking handbook in knowing how to put on a show? Seriously, half the reason why I haven't attempted to organize a show is because I simply don't know anything about event planning. Believe me when I say that we have had many discussions about trying something like this in...

DEVILDRIVER and SOIL Confirmed for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009

That was a phenomenal performance, and quite frankly, the enthusiastic reception probably had much to do with the fact that the other bands on the roster followed a similar theme. All things considered, Novembers Doom being enveloped in a roster by the likes of Moonsorrow and Thyrfing playing...

DEVILDRIVER and SOIL Confirmed for CHICAGO POWERFEST 2009

If this lineup draws well, then good for the promoters and bands. And if you guys win new fans over then good for you. Well deserved on all accounts -- if we all had the balls to do what Rob & co do then we'd all be hosting festivals. From a totally selfish standpoint, however, we, your fans...
