    Bands that have sold out?

I'm a weather guy by trade, so I am trained in bullshit. One of the few jobs in the world where you can be completely wrong and get to go to work the next day.

If the rap in question has a funky groove, I'll listen to it. I'm even learning some Bob Wills songs to be able to jam with my Steel Guitar playing Dad. Gonna work on some Buck Owens tunes as well... Western Swing is kind of fun.

Extreme capitolism is also proving to be the bane of the labels, as most commercial music has been crap for the past 5+ years, and sales have suffered. Supply and demand... No-one is demanding their crap, so capitolism is working in this industry in that instance. The other part of this thread...

It was still a poor decision and I feel it is greed that you have been condemning that drove the decisions in the first place - regardless of the arm-chair quarterbacking. And stick your "applauding your failure" where the sun doesn't shine. I never would applaud something like that, and hope...

Yes it is, and the big labels are taking it in the pooper for their crap decisions. Independent labels and self production are where the true artists are now, and I support them gladly.

I think I was getting at the inflated bidding of forests. I feel if someone shoots themselves in the foot, they deserve what they get.

The record industry is a gigantic piece of crap. Once CEOs were no longer industry professionals, and everything was based on quarterly profits - it all went into the toilet. I highly recommend everyone watch the documentary "Before the Music Dies". There is a part of it on the website...

Yeah, that's been pointed out a couple of times - I'm one big gigantic contradiction. Let's just say I like them on principle... Just like others have pointed out that unions are great on principle... I guess it's the jackasses that find loopholes to exploit *coughLAWYERScough* in these...
