2004 Top 10 album list

The "Blackfield" album was fantastic. That must be the only album from 2004 that I bought this year, I'm so behind. I'm just buying old CD's.
No, I bought Aeon Spoke, too. That's the new band of two "Cynic" members who do completely different music, in the vain of Coldyplay, Anathema, Mars Volta, these days.
Who likes these sound should check them out.

Holy hell. This is just amazing mate. Being a huge Reinert fan, I can't believe I haven't heard of this project before. Damn it, now I have to rearrange my top ten again.

My pleasure! Yes, Reinert is amazing. I'm addicted to his play.
And he plays so minimalistic on Aeon Spoke. Doesn't show what he ist able to, but I guess that many drummers get to that point that they don't want to prove themselves anymore.

Very nice album indeed, can't believe it's Paul Masvidal on vocals (and guitar), he's such a good singer! BTW, if you like this, check out Blackfield (didn't see it in your top-10): www.blackfield.org, in the sound-clips section you can listen to samples from all songs on the album.

Hey everyone, long time no see (to those that remember me ;)). Haven't posted in this forum in what feels like months, but anyway I'm back :p My list:

1 - My Dying Bride - SOD,WOL
2 - Therion - Lemuria/Sirius B (this would be #1 if not for the horrible technique of the power metal vocalist......)
3 - Cannibal Corpse - The Wretched Spaw
4 - Finntroll - Nattfodd
5 - Nightwish - Once
6 - The Gathering - Sleepy Buildings
7 - Darkthrone - Sardonic Wrath
8 - Vintersorg - The Focusing Blur
9 - Beseech - Drama
10 - Borknagar - Epic

I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting. And there's a few things I have yet to hear, like the new Bloodbath and Morgion and a bunch of others.....

[edit] I knew it, I forgot Cannibal Corpse and The Gathering :bah:

I don't even have 10 albums from this year, but Panopticon just seems miles ahead of everything else I've heard in 2004.
