40 Guitarists of metal....

Michael Schenker, people. I know he is a nasty drunk that does not know how to keep his schwanz in his pants and cannot set foot in America less he be arrested for being a deadbeat dad, but he is still among the finest guitarists.

So that is the reason for his absence...:loco:

Holy shit, I can't believe one two people mentioned Randy Rhoads.... must be a bunch of young 'uns on the board. He and VH shaped the entire genre of metal as we know it!! LONG LIVE RANDY RHOADS!!

So that is the reason for his absence...:loco:

Yes. When MS was coming to the States for his 25th Anniversary Clebration Tour, He got served through his lawyer in Germany by his former mistress/secretary/manager, Bella Piper. Basically, he owed about $11,000 in child support to Ms. Piper for their two children. At that point, when it was found out that he was attempting to come back to the States, a warrant was put out for his arrest, and all the venues were served about his child support lapse. So, he cancelled his US tour. He did the same thing in 2005, but this time, his ex-wife Linda joined forces with Piper to hop in the money grab. He Cancelled an appearance with Leslie West at BB Kings in NYC, and then nearly lost his contract with Dean guitars when he cancelled his 2005 USA tour.

He has been in legal and financial trouble for several years now. When he was divorced in 2000, he lost the rights to his music, his mercedes, and even his guitars and his website. This man has had serious troubles, and there they are in a nutshell.

Peace,
Ray C.

PS - Michael also has a very bad habit of posting all his dirty laundry on his website.

1 Wolf Hoffmann (Best all-around guitarist. Great tone, mixed blues and classical, had a great marriage between technical virtuasity and feeling, also a riff-master like no other.)

21 IA (This guy is out of the box and so different and cool)
22 Zappa - (totally weird stuff, but I like it)
