A little about yourself

Anomaly
Hey guys. According to my profile, I joined in December 2010, but I know I didn't become an active member until probably a month or so before As the World Bleeds was announced. But as I've stayed here I've found that I really like hanging out with you guys. So this is a thread to talk a little about ourselves, so we can get to know each other better.

So I'm a 15-year-old kid. I absolutely love music, but my passion is actually writing. I run a blog and I'm in the process of working on a fantasy novel, though I'm not yet prepared to fully jump in. Fantasy takes a lot of planning. I understand one of the members of this forum is a published author; I need to read his books. :D

I'm Jason. I guess I'm the "grandfather" fan of the Theocracy forums. I must have been one of the very first fans to arrive here - my join date is June 2004, as is Matt's.

I'm 38. Growing up, I had older brothers, so I listened to all of their rock bands (KISS, Styx, Nazareth, Shooting Star, etc). In high school I became a metalhead and lived on a steady diet of Metallica, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, and Anthrax. I also listened to power metal back in the late 80s/early 90s before it was identified as its own genre (e.g. Helloween, Crimson Glory). In college I drifted out of metal and listened to grunge (as did everyone else), such as Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Stone Temple Pilots, and the like. About 9 years ago, I reconnected with an old friend who was totally into power metal and he introduced me to all the power metal standard-bearers (Stratovarius, Sonata, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, etc, etc). I was hooked and have been listening power, prog, and symphonic metal ever since :headbang:

I'm an attorney who doesn't practice law at the moment. I'm working for a legal research company. My job is boring but I do get to listen to music with headphones all day, which is cool.

My Top 5 albums of all time, in the order that I fell in love with them:

Shooting Star - Hang On For Your Life
Pink Floyd - The Wall
Anthrax - Among The Living
Queensryche - Operation Mindcrime
Dream Theater - Scenes From A Memory

I'm married and, though my wife doesn't enjoy metal, she tolerates my passion for it :D

I spent a few years dabbling in concert promoting and the previously-mentioned friend is the primary promoter for power metal shows in my town, so I've had the good fortune to meet (and sometimes becomes friends with) most of my favorite bands. Although it sucks that power metal is not popular in the US, it does mean there's a realistic chance to meet and get to know bands, which is so cool. Among many activities, I can say I've seen a movie with Iced Earth and taken Sonata Arctica out for ice cream. How lucky am I??? :p

Aside from living and breathing metal, my favorite hobbies are European travel (3 trips so far), playing poker, and playing Halo in a networked basement with 8-16 friends (which I am on my way to do right now!).

I'm Sakarias and I'm a 19 year old guy who has a passion for music in every sense.
I'm from Sweden and I've just recently started a record company www.ichthysrecords.com
Also I'm a guitarist in a band called Adonai Malakh here in Sweden, though we play mostly rock/pop music.
My favorite bands are (not necessarily in this order):
Theocracy
Stryper
DC Talk
Bloodgood
Rob Rock

Even though I'm quite new here I've been checking it out for a while.
My dream is to someday be able to play in a melodic metal band and tour the world, but so far I don't think I'm skilled enough.
Hopefully in the future I'll be able to work with music full time. It really doesn't matter if it's on stage or in the studio (either musician or producer) or if I'm the sound guy.
As you can see my passion is music and not much else.

God Bless!!

They practically begged me to join the Dark Brotherhood. I did. And I was good.

I got laughed at by my boyfriend when i started the game i got to level 2 and thought I'd take on all the guards in one of the towns. LOL......ended.....poorly to say the least. lol But I got them later, mua ha ha ha

Yeah, the guards are actually meant to be formidable (at least at the beginning).

After finishing a bunch of the side quests and the main storyline, I became a serial killer. I slaughtered citizens and then killed any guards that pursued me as a means of preserving my craft.
