well this weekend seemed to be just another ordinary weekend at the lake, but the whole way down, i kept feeling something was different.

When we got there, everything was fine, the place hadnt burned down or anything. I went down with my moms fiance, and his daughter, her son, and her son's father were already down there when we arrived. So we got to talking with them, and it turns out, they won tickets to see BOC live at the Shooting Sperm (shooting star :p ) Casino that night. So Chuck (my moms fiance) suggests that i go with. So we call, get me a ticket, and I SAW THE BLUE OYSTER CULT IN CONCERT :D :D :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

they were EXCELLENT. They had a lot of energy for their age, and they played the songs very nicely. They pretty much stook to the hits (Burnin' For You, Dont Fear The Reaper, Godzilla) although, there was an excellent bass solo during Godzilla, followed by a drum solo, then they finished the song.

The only thing i really can complain about is that they didnt play Astronomy  but it was a good show, nonetheless.

If they come to somewhere near you, SEE THEM, you wont regret it!

Wow!! Thats must have been a surprise! Good to hear the gig was great. Yes those old dino's still know how to rock.

yes, he's really sweet, I approve of him :tickled:

ULTRA COOL DROOG!

I saw them (free at the Harrah's :D) a bit before leaving US. It was an amazing gig, and most definitively they still play with all intensity after all these years.

Glad you had a good time droog !! Sounds like it was a blast. BOC isn't one of my very favorite bands, but I do like them and think the world of Dharma as a guitarist. In fact, I noticed a post about Pink Floyd as well and Dharma and Gilmour often remind me of one another. It's tough to beat either of those guys when it comes to pupping feeling in their solos.

Damn that's kinda like a couple of years ago what happened to me when I was hanging out in Broad Ripple
and a buddy of mine got in for free to see Superjoint Ritual at the Vogue.
Even though phil was in oxycontin mode the show still kicked ass!!
