Attic findings are the best

I've been pronouncing quite loudly that I want a violin for the past six months, and it seems that just yesterday my mom realizes that there is one in the attic. I got it down and it's in pretty good shape (30 years old); one of the bows is in disarray, but the other is brand new. I'm so excited now, though I need to get new strings, resin, and possibly a new bridge.

Oh, I also found an acoustic guitar while I was scrounging around. From now on I'll just yell what instrument I want really loud and then run up to the attic because I'm pretty sure it's magical.

Yeah, I have my grandfather's old violin, which for decades was stuck up in my grandmother's attic. It needs some hardcore restoration, but it could be really nice. The label says it's a circa-1720 Guarnerius, so I think I'm going to take it to an expert in the Charlottesville area sometime to have him look it over.
