It appears to me that Toby is concentrating on Avantasia right now. Anyone know where this leaves Edguy?? Just curious. I like them both and miss the Vain Glory/Theater/Mandrake days!!!

No doubt about it. Edguy has definitely become the side project. Given the draw he is getting with Avantasia, I don't entirely blame him. Even with the last few Edguy albums (including the handful of new tracks on the recent best of collection), his better song ideas are all going towards Avantasia.
I also miss the Vain Glory through Mandrake era (plus Rocket Ride was fantastic!) but those days are long gone now.

We got alternating Edguy and Avantasia albums pretty consistently but I believe this is the first time we've gotten two Avantasias in a row without a new Edguy. What's hilarious is that after every previous Avantasia album he said it might be the last.

I like Edguy more than Avantasia, although Toby sometimes does some wacky stuff with Edguy. My favorite Edguy albums are Mandrake and Hellfire Club. I prefer the heavier sounding Edguy, but the Tinnitus Sanctus and Space Police have been pretty good too.
