I've never been there, but I caught an episode of Bar Rescue that featured The Abbey in Chicago. I know they get good metal acts on occasion. Have any long time Abbey goers noticed a big improvement in the past couple of years?

I go to Chicago for most of my shows, and lived in the suburbs for a long time, and I have BEVER been there.....
I don't know if that means they get crap acts, it is hard to get to, or if it is in a sketchy neighborhood. I longingly look at the band tour schedules that are posted on here, just to torment myself since none of them will be less than 3 hours away. I had seen The Abbey pop up on a couple of tour plans, so it just made me curious.
