So I drove to Dallas last night for the Pain of Salvation gig. I heard a few songs in YouTube from D97 and I wasn't impressed that much...but live...Holy smokes! What an amazing band. The singer was on fire (even if it was 40 degrees outside - outdoor venue) and blew me away. The bass player and keyboard player...WOW. Everybody was on! Got to talk to the band a bit after the PoS show and they are a great bunch of guys (and gal). Bought their latest album and got it signed by them. Need to explore more. Not sure what turned me off the first time around.
