EXTREME Pornograffitti Live 25th Ann US Tour 2015

I'm not really a fan of Extreme, but my wife is so we made it a date. We saw the kickoff show at Mohegan Sun and it seemed like they were still working out some kinks, but toward the end of the show they sounded excellent. Nuno can shred like a maniac! After playing all of Pornograffitti they did a few songs from the other albums. I was disappointed they didn't play "Mutha" but at least I got to hear "Kid Ego".
 
Caught this tour the other day. Horrible sound. Insanely loud and distorted :( what is it with these 80s bands ?? Saw Lillian Axe a few days before and it was the same. Are they all deaf now or just dreaming they are playing stadiums and have to crank it up to 12?
To be fair, I haven't been to either venue before so it may be the sound guy but I would think Extreme has their own.
It's too bad because on the few quieter songs Gary Cherone showed he still got it. They said it was the first time they played When I first kissed you. Nuno started it off with a lovely piano intro .
I thought Nuno played much better than on the last tour they did for their last album . I think all this touring with Rihanna is giving him the much needed practice.
Not much to say about the playlist. The Pornografiti stuff is of course their best by far and they also played 5 or so songs after, including the great Am I ever going to change, Play with me, Rest in peace, and a few others that I didn't care for .
 
Seems weird to see Battle Creek, MI on the tour stop but hey, if it's not outrageously priced I'll go. Tickets for every other act that plays there are priced from $45-$95 which seems steep for some of the acts they draw.

Man, I loved this band right around this release. Though I would vote Three Sides as their pinnacle, this disc was a true monster for me too.

I WILL be purchasing this one.
