German metallers Xandria have issued the following update::cry:

"Lisa Middelhauve is not the singer of Xandria anymore. After almost eight years of successful work together she decided to leave the band due to personal reasons. For some time now Lisa didn´t feel comfortable with her role as Xandria´s front woman anymore and wants to step aside to make it possible for the band to find someone who can stand behind Xandria completely. A step that we all regret, but is highly respected.
We want to thank her for the great, successful and unforgettable time we had together and wish her only the best for the future! Thank you - your contribution to Xandria and everything you did for the band we will never forget!"

The band adds:
"The musical journey of Xandria will go on of course, and also in the future there will be great things to expect - be surprised! At the moment we are searching for a new female singer and will be back on stage with new songs and live dates. Information for candidates for the singer position will be posted here in the next days."

:OMG: Nooooooooooo!!!!!

I was listening to Xandria, Black & Silver as I read this (totally be coincidence). I only wish I had ever had a chance to see them live with Lisa. They were one of the bands that I had been pursuing for the FotV roster this year, but needless to say it just didn't work out. They've never been to the US (as far as I know). I'm very sad about Lisa's departure, but I am hopeful that they will find a suitable replacement. The title of the thread had me scared. I thought I was going to be reading about a break-up. I'm glad to hear that they are still continuing as a band.

I don't think it will be a big problem. Lisa was a good singer, but probably easily replaceable. Unlike Michele Luppi in the other thread who will be very hard to replace.
