Free Spirit (melodic rock)

I just heard them today and am immediately hooked! My interest in AOR/melodic rock started out small but is accelerating. When I come across stuff like this it really makes me sit up and pay attention. Totally hook-filled, melody-focused hard rock. The singer simultaneously reminds me of Vintersorg and the guy from Eve 6. I could see their sound being too poppy for some but damn if these guys aren't the best I've heard since Pretty Maids! Fans here?

haha...not to hijack my own thread, but I actually haven't heard "our" Free Spirit. Are they more Have Heart or more AL4W?

Amazing band. Their debut album (Pale Sister of Light) was the best melodic rock CD last year by far.

I'd love to see them at ProgPower.

neither, really...more of a youth crew style band. think Youth of Today.
