If you tell me what you're looking for, like a specific band you ALREADY listen to on the list, I can tell you what you'd probably like the most...

And of the bands on the second list, I can recommend most of it to many people, but the original list is what I'd stand behind 100% for someone wanting new DM.

They're not even death metal, let alone harsh death metal... more of a death-influenced thrash.

However, I agree that they're decent, and he might want to check them out regardless.

I'm appalled no one has mentioned AUTOPSY! sheesh. Their album 'Mental Funeral' is only a bonafide classic in brutal death metal.

Also check out Asphyx. AWESOME brutal death with Martin van Drunen on vocals.

Also get THE CHASM. Fucking killer death.

i agree with that list apart from the berzerker......yes they are brutal...yes they are a good band but i wouldnt call them good tecnical death....they use a drum machine and they have a very electronic sound....but yeah the other bands on that list are fucking good
