Sites like photobucket make it easy. Sign up for a free account. Photobucket knows the primary purpose users use it for is to link to other sites & forums so they make it very easy for you to copy and paste the image link code anywhere.
In this forum, click on the "image" icon in the quick reply box (it's the second from right).
Make sure you have pop-ups turned on.
Paste the URL in the pop-up box.
I tried to take a screenshot of that but it came out really small. But the process is very intuitive. It amounts to [IMG.] [/.IMG] but without the periods.

photobucket is a piece of shit. imgur.com and min.us are so easy to use it's almost fool proof, and require no sign in or account.
