Intromental Worldwide signs Greek avant-garde metal act DAKRYA.
Intromental Worldwide is proud to have inked a deal with the new exciting avant-garde metal band Dakrya, hailing out of Greece, for worldwide booking and management representation.
There are bands that sound regular, bands that sound a bit odd, and then there are the bands who take their music over the edge of the cliff. Dakrya is of the latter category, blending theatrical varieté/musicals with metal, shuffling in a good deal of jazzy prog and adding melodic layers of atmosphere to make the melting pot stir to a fusion of styles. Intromental promotional director Lars F. Larsen explains; Its not every day you see a band made up of 4 guys and 3 girls, but its obviously working enough for us, to be all open ears and eyes here at Intromental. Were looking very much forward to seeing the media and fan reactions to this great new band.
Dakryas main-composer, lyricist and keyboardist SophiaX adds: For some time now, we were looking for a management that would believe in us and our music. Its important and hard to find a manager that knows how the music industry works and has the required professionalism as well. With IntroMental Management & Booking we actually found the home we were looking for! We believe in them and we are glad to be a part of this great family of musicians!
After only having been in touch with the band for a few weeks, Intromental has already secured a Worldwide release for Dakryas sophomore release, Crime Scene, which will see the light of day through an as of yet undisclosed label in October 2010. More information on that will be released in the next few days. For now, check out the song The Charlatans from the upcoming release at the Intromental homepage. This is a band that should appeal to fans of such diverse bands at Unexpect, Dream Theater, Therion, Diablo Swing Orchestra and Arcturus.
