Musicians and Plane Flights

So I remember there being a thread a while ago where someone posted some really good information on guitar cases/plane flights.

Does anyone here have information on that? I remember there being a new bill passed that would allow us to even carry on our guitar cases directly onto the plane? that would save some check luggage fees!

Any advise or help is truly and greatly appreciated flying in less than two weeks!

now lets just hope i can take our guitar cases and just like stick them in a closet somewhere! that would be awesome. Its like, $100 each extra check bag.
