Look, if you ask me, the candidate for the final metal machine is simple(relatively): If you want a badass European band, look no further than Nocturnal Rites. They may be one among many great Swedish bands, but the power of their 2000 release Afterlife (new album soon!) will floor you. Another band that released an awesome album in 2000 is a group called Jacob's Dream. These guys are from Ohio in the USA, and their talent is amazing!!!

PS Great job bringing Gamma Ray and Blind Guardian to America, guys!!!!!! Finally!!!!!

Nocturnal Rites "Afterlife" was one of my favriot 2000 releases.
Awesome, exciting, and fun album. I cant wait for the new one.
They should definately be the tenth band. They are looking for an openor. I am hoping for Stratovarius and Helloween as the headliners for next year. that would be sweet. I would also love to see Sentenced next year.
