Tom Petty's music may not be to the tastes of everyone on this board, but you can't deny how good and how genuine it was. He really captured the spirit of the everyman in his songs, and he had a great run of albums throughout the 80's and 90's.

RIP to an American classic. Tom Petty will be missed.
