this morning i found myself wondering

if the doods who put out our company's huge lights display with the white plastic 3-d reindeer that light up actually studied reindeer sociology before setting them up in what look like small conversational cliques. some are eating, some are facing each other in talking postures, and some are just standing there like they're caught in the headlights of the traffic on I-44 which runs by.

if they had truly studied reindeer, i would imagine they'd have a huge problem with actually putting the reindeer within human view, as i'd expect reindeer would be somewhat skiddish around people, therefore forcing them to place all the deer deep in the woods out behind the buildings as opposed to right out front in the open.

also, absolutely none of the reindeer are in mating positions, which i find highly unlikely in nature.

as long as it doesn't end up like something juvenile like the ELF intelligence squad in The Santa Clause. the reindeer need to get drunk and beat the crap out of other woodland creatures on a regular basis as well as have vendettas of rage every once in a while.
