Open the Gates is in your top 10 of all time? Man, I need to spend more time with that CD. I currently think Crystal Logic is their best, but admittedly, I haven't spent enough time with much other MR yet.

Open The Gates and Mystification.....its a toss up depending on the day. If I feel like getting lost in the epic grandiosity, its OtG....if I just wanna break my fucking neck, it's Mystification.

I love love love a TON of albums from post-2000. That said, unseating the Maidens, Metallicas, Operation: Mindcrime, etc. is a daunting task that only time will tell.
I agree. It's a really tough one though because somehow nostalgia needs to be put aside. What you need to do is clone yourself, gather a 100 CDs from all eras and listen to them all for the first time ever and sequence them in order of preference and then change your name to dolly the sheep.
