Which amp and cab would you suggest for this?

I'm new to metal guitar amps. Mainly play indie rock. Maybe somebody here can put me on the right track in terms of gear, as I'm looking for a good metal rig to use in my home studio.

Any suggestions on what amp head and cabinet (speakers) could nail this 90's era Motley Crue tone?

marshall amps are really great for this kind of music and stuff, check out the marshall JCM800.

It sounds a little tighter than a JCM800, though you could certainly go that route. A Peavey 5150 on the green channel maybe? For the cab, though, a Marshall would probably be good.

i'd go dual rec unboosted for that. or modded marshall.

Marshall JCM800. If you get the 50 w version and crank it you will get more growl + a Marshall cabinet with celestion greenbacks.
