I made a post in the lounge several days back regarding a small haul of the new Panic cell and new Sieges Even, but after listening to the Panic Cell for a couple of weeks, I thought I would serve them justice with their own thread....
Panic Cell is from England and they sort of split the difference between thrash and oldschool powermetal, though they have a modern sound. They offer an aggressive metal style on several tracks but don't have the extreme vocals.
Unfortunately, they are on an indie label, and the US distribution isn't the greatest, but they are on the way up and in serious contention for an opening slot for Megadeth's upcoming European tour. Despite being an indie, I think they have released a top five album in 2007 in my ears. Certainly because I like them doesn't mean any of you will, but I think some may.
