Great taste for a non-driver. Those 911s are bad-ass. Porsche has been making them since the dinasours were on earth and they keep improving them. While they aren't a rare car, you get a good car for the money. I can't afford one, but it would certainly be more affordable than say a Ferrari. Those things perform as well.

Yep , Porsches rule as far as "exotic" sportscars, they are very reliable, unlike Ferrari's and Lambo's...have you seen the new models ?? Round lights in the front again !! looks very retro and cool !!!
here's a very nice introduction to the car

Old Porsches are affordable for almost all people, but the problem is that parts and dealerships are excessive expensive, not for everyone...well, not for me anyway, I rather spend some money on American muscle....

Yeah I knew they went back to those headlight style. It's definitely cool. I love the shape and performance of a 911. As far as owning one, yeah if I win the lottery maybe. A 911 is a statement of your basic, I will "kick your car's ass" as though maybe not THE fastest on the straights, nor quite the best on the curves, that car has been refined for so many years, as an "all-around" sports car, it can't be beat for two times the money.

You will not beat the Germans in machining. Yeah my "preference" of metal music is German metal, but it's widely known that Germans have superior machining and fit and finish. Your Porsche 911 could race your buddies twice a week and still never give you problems for 125k km. They build those things right.

As for old cars we're still driving the ol' Ford Mustang (1967)

1980s Fiaros are a blast to drive, as are Vet's.

Truth be told, one of my favorite cars to drive has been a 1992 Dodge Voyager Minivan. Cars are fun, but I've long preferred trucks and vans. My bassist has a '98 Dodge SUV which I always try and talk him into letting me drive because you always feel in complete command of that thing.
