Following the discussion in the Novella Reservoir thread of what songs to play on Halloween , I decided to go back and dig out some old Halloween playlists I used on my radio shows, just in case anyone needs some ideas :) I haven't done a Halloween show for a couple of years (either through just forgetting, or my Wednesday slot not falling close enough to be in the mood). Maybe this year I'll break one out again. The first list is in a different order (song/band/CD) than the next two.

Most of the kid's in my neighborhood are spoiled, selfish brats. I'll give 'em a hand grenade before a snickers bar. (just kidding) Being in a wheel-chair, makes if difficult for me to constantly answer the door. So, what 's been working keeping these little nuts away lately is Nile--"Unas the God Slayer" and/or Blut Aus Nord--"Son of Hoarfrost".
 
Got to be a little of both. But, one kid told me his mom said, "I looked like some kind of biblical nut with my longhair and beard running around in a wheel-chair." I just don't understand this stereotyping. LOL.
 
something about "The Graveyard" from King Diamond in the Fall! that is my most listened to album for Halloween. Perhapse it's due to the fact that it was released in the fall, and all my memories of descovering that album were in the foleadge.

There is one advantage to living in New England right there. The trees are just amazing right now.
 
Haha, I know exactly what you mean. I bought my first Emperor album in the spring, and in March or April I always feel like listening to Emperor. Haha, bizarre.
 
I gues it would be weirder if it were Immortal, since they are all about cold and north....stuff. Is weirder even a word?

Oh come on now, Dan, that's no way to represent the metal genre you're in! :rolleyes:

What you're supposed to say is that the trees are shedding their leaves like corpses shed decaying skin, and that the discolored leaves still grasping the drooping branches in their last dying days are dangling down like little suspended puppy fetuses forelornly clinging to the final shreds of their lives.

There, I just thought I'd help you out a bit. :)
