japanese metal scene

im gonna be moving to japan (actually okinawa) in the begining of december. im wondering how the scene is out there. what tours yall get, accessability to local shows, if there are even shows in okinawa or am i gonna have to fly to the mainland for shows. im mostly into DM/BM however i listen most other metal genres as well

X Japan are one of the ONLY bad bands I've heard from Japan. They fucking blow.

Abigail are blackened thrash/thrashy black (more the latter most of the time).

Sorrow of Tranquility are really catchy melo-death with a hint of US metalcore, but they're actually GOOD unlike a lot of metalcore-ish bands.

Amduscias are an odd black metal band who uses a ton of melody, but utilizes raw production like the 2nd wave bands, though they're from like the 90s. Great stuff.
