What's wrong with Haiti? If the Dominican Republic, Trinidad, and Jamaica can have metal why is Haiti deprived?

Hopefully this isn't a too-serious answer to a not-that-serious question, but I'm sure that the main reason is economic. Here are the per-capita GDP rankings of the mentioned countries:

Trinidad and Tobago: #44
Dominican Republic: #87
Jamaica: #88
.
.
.
Haiti: #164 (out of 183)

In general, "per-capita metal bands" appears to be quite strongly correlated with per-capita GDP (Norway is #4, Sweden is #13, Iceland #16, Finland #21). This makes sense because "more money" = "more money to support entertainers". So really a more interesting graphic would be "number of metal bands RELATIVE to the total number of bands of all genres". That's what would show how "metal" a country is, rather than just how many musicians they have.

So being a bored engineer, the US has approximately 311 million people * 4.66 / 100k = 14,492 heavy metal bands in the USA
Sweden and Finland combined has 14 million * 53.2 / 100k = 7,448 bands.
Poor little china only has .41 bands per 100k, but with their 1.3 billion population, that's 5,330 heavy metal bands
and India's .01 with their 1.1 billion population would make for 110 bands!!!!
