Seikima II - Jap melodic metal

Just found this band by total accident. They are listed as black metal bizarrely enough but it's just melodic metal more in line with Visual Kei. Also surprisingly the singer has a great voice to the point where I doubt his Japaneseness! These guys are also a bit funny as in the lyrics to Brand New Song. Their write ups are bizarre too. Very strange but somehow very melodic and catchy. I would like to hear an album from these guys if such a thing even exists.

Seikima II, though they've been around basically as long as X JAPAN, are also a new find for me. I had heard the name but never listened to them until they were announced as the headliners for A-KON in Dallas (pre-reg closes in two days!!) this summer. Inugami Circus-Dan are opening for them, though I think Onmyouza would have made a better fit musically. I'd be going for sure if it weren't for the X JAPAN show in Chicago tying up so much $.

Oh yes, such a thing definitely exists! eBay, Amazon, and cdjapan all have their stuff available, no doubt as a result of the A-KON appearance. Headlining this event is what catapulted Versailles 2 years ago. Now look at them!
