Well, here is one suggestion that would fit perfectly for this festival:

Sun Caged from Holland

Check out this video where the band played in front of a crowd of some 5000 people at a festival (Urpop) in Holland last year. It's an instrumental song called Killer Banshee:

And here is another video of the song Sides, taken very recently:

Other bands:

Stratovarius might be a good bet, I know they were contacted for at least PPUSA 2...

Sonata Arctica

Loch Vostok from Sweden. These guys are doing something truly amazing these days. Sounds a bit like Mayadome with some thrash put in the mix and totally different vocals.

There's plenty more, but I suck at making lists like this... hehe

As many times as this thread is run, it does show how enthusiastic for next years ProgPower, God willing. And its how Glenn that there must be a ProgPower every year. I have already said that I will go to every ProgPower, and be a Gold Badge Member, regardless if know who is playing or not...

-Sonata Arctica
-Rhapsody
-Nevermore
-Opeth
-Nightwish (I don't understand how them not touring supposedly in November next year prevents them from doing a one off show for PP)
-Evergrey
-Fates Warning
-Vanden Plas
-Royal Hunt
-Heavenly
