In full agreement with Orden Ogan from your list. From the others I checked quite a few of them out from the youtube links you provided. A couple of them intrigued me but I can see myself starting to get bored listening to so much prog metal for any long period of time. It's a style that always tends to drag to my impatient ears. I like Level 10 but don't love it so it won't make my list. Empire 21 was good but wasn't it a 2014? Maybe it came out in the US in 2015. My list will feature a lot of power and aor basically and I'll only list the ones I really like a lot.

Battle Beast - Unholy Savior
Care of Night - Connected
Jorn and Trond - Dracula: Swing of Death
Kyrbgrinder - Chronicles of a Dark Machine
Orden Ogan - Ravenhead
Shadowquest - Armored IV Pain
UDO - Decadent
Impellitteri - Venom
Veonity - Gladiator's Tale

and of course my fave so is Eclipse's Armageddonize. Don't know what on earth can surpass that in the coming months.

Only Neal Morse's album has penetrated my list in terms of a real prog album and even then not in the top reaches.

Ascendia - The Lion and the Jester
Jakub Żytecki - Wishful Lotus Proof
Periphery - Juggernaut
Shattered Skies - The World We Used to Know
Universe Effects - In the Haze That Surrounds Us

Arcane - Known/Learned
Enslaved - In Times
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Alkaloid - The Malkuth Grimoire
Jakub Zytecki - Wishful Lotus Proof
Katatonia - Sanctitude

Corsair - One Eyed Horse
Lord Fist - Green Eyleen
Nightwish - Endless Forms Most Beautiful
Orden Ogan - Ravenhead
Scanner - Judgement Day
Tarot - The Warrior's Spell
Visigoth - The Revenant King

Arcane - Known/Learned
Enslaved - In Times
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Alkaloid - The Malkuth Grimoire
Jakub Zytecki - Wishful Lotus Proof
Katatonia - Sanctitude

Having a general idea of your tastes I'm surprised to not see Shattered Skies in your list. Did you forget it or did it not wave your flag for some reason?

This years been so good already. Everything I anticipated has met or exceeded expectations and a lot of stuff has taken me completely by surprise. I really liked that Osada Vida track in the original post, too. I'm looking forward to checking that out eventually.

Subterranean Masquerade - The Great Bazaar
Steven Wilson - Hand. Cannot. Erase
Shattered Skies - The World I Used To Know
Arcane - Known/Learned
Universe Effects - In the Haze that Surrounds Us
Drifting Sun - Trip the Life Fantastic
Umpfel - Cactus

I've heard hardly anything this year, so thanks for the lists above. Interesting to see that Arcane has been listed a few times! It's been a while since I've listened to or seen them play, so great to see that they are getting acknowledgement for what they're doing!

My only album to add to this list at present would be the new Chaos Divine album. Extremely impressed with it and watching them live the other week convinced me to walk over to their merch table and buy a copy. No regrets whatsoever.

I was gonna say it'd be cool if people put what kind of music some of these are so thanks Glenn for doing so. I've got the Arcane and Universe Effects and will check out the others from the prog list.
