FIFTH ANGEL reunion!!??

According to a posting on FifthAngel.net, credible rumors have begun to circulate that Seattle metal band FIFTH ANGEL may reunite for some shows later this year. No word yet on a firm lineup, but vocalist Ted Pilot and bassist John Macko are apparently in the mix. More information as it becomes available.

In an interview conducted last summer, FIFTH ANGEL bassist John Macko and guitarist Kendall Bechtel had the following to say regarding the possibility of a reunion:

Bechtel: "I think it would be a blast, and if people are out there to receive it, I would be only too happy to deliver."

Macko: "I would love to do some shows, but I don't think Ted will ever do it. But I really do appreciate the folks out there that still enjoy the music. Regardless of what happened in the past … the bottom line is the music was great and that's all that really matters."

The bass player that bailed on Heir Apparent isn't the bass player in Fifth Angel.

McCormack is using my name and contacts to self promote his new endeavor to resurrect Fifth Angel, specifically to see if he can get another free trip to Europe. He evidently prefers the instant glory and attention of playing momentary rock star by copying someone else's work again... getting to be hero the easy way. That's really all there is to it.

Fifth Angel was all about Ted Pilot & James Byrd...without them l have no interest.

Well there are only two albums, the self-titled 1986 release and 1989's TIME WILL TELL. I'd start with the first one, it's a bit heavier although TIME WILL TELL is excellent as well, albeit a bit more polished and commercial...

Like said above theres only 2 CDs out. Get them both, as they are classics.

BUT this isnt all metal....this borders on Heavy Hard Rock side.

Absolute treasures IMO.

Yep - That's how I first heard them - when he was on Channel 11.
Song was "Midnight Love"

I'm going to treat this the same as I am the Malice reunion, as Fifth Angel and Malice are two of my absolute favs from the good 'ol days....

It's one thing to be excited about the prospect of these bands putting out something new, but I will reserve judgement until I actually hear the new material to see if they still "got it".
