Roll Call - Whom here is from IL ?

Anthony Bourdain is my HERO!! :worship:

You and me both. I really wanted to go see his stand-up show a few months ago, but it didn't work for whatever reason. I am a huge fan of his show and of him. In fact, next time I'm in NYC (two weeks from now I think), I'm gonna make it a point to eat at Brasserie Les Halles. Again.

I live in Skokie but went to school at Bradley, so I am quite familiar with your neck of the woods. Good luck, Jeremy!

From Skokie?????????
That town has never been the same since BARNUM and BAGEL closed...

RIP!

I'll have to take your word for it...I moved to Skokie in 2007. It's a dead boring town, but I live only five minutes from work, which was the point of my moving here. I much preferred living in the western suburbs, but the commute from Lisle to Morton Grove was eating away at my sanity.

@1000 Faces - Oh Yeah ! Go B.U. They totally SHAFTED Coach Jim Les this past year. Grrr.

Our Drummer works at Bradley. Small World !

I dunno...I never liked Les as a coach. Hiring a guy with no head-coaching experience whatsoever simply because he was a star player at your school seemed like a terrible idea at the time, and aside from recruiting O'Bryant (who underachieved in high school and is now viewed as one of the worst lottery picks in NBA history), he didn't actually do much of anything at Bradley except win with Molinari's guys in '06. Now Molinari -- there's a BU coach who got shafted. Wonderful guy too.

Your drummer's name sounds familiar to me. Do you happen to know how long he's been at Bradley?

I hear ya. That's cool.

How I think coach Les got shafted was this past season, three of his five recruit starters were injured and when they fired him, they didnt let him tell his players. They just fired him and announced it. His players heard through the media after he wasnt allowed to meet with them.

I met Coach Les a few times. Everyone I knew here liked him alot. He did take the Braves to the Sweet 16. That's sometimes anough for people.

Obryant was a rediculous deal. just dumb.

Wade works in the AV department. I think he runs the whole deal. I dont know for sure.

As Bob mentioned, I am in Chicago. Chicago suburbs to be more specific though. Since I got here late, I have no other bands to mention. Then again, I don't really keep up with the local scene.

I hadn't heard that. It's difficult to keep up with BU hoops up here, so the details tend to elude me. That is pretty shady.

I don't blame him for getting while the getting was good. He probably heard stories around the athletic department about how Anthony Parker chose to come back after his breakout year -- after which he was projected by some as a top-ten pick -- and then wrecked his knee early in his senior season ('96-'97, my freshman year). His draft stock plummeted, although he did still end up going in the first round. It took a failed NBA stint and several years playing in Israel before he found his game again, but he's been a starter in the NBA for several years now. Maybe O'Bryant can resurrect his career too, but last year he got kicked off his Chinese League team before the season even started for being a lazy bum, so I wouldn't count on it.

By the way, I just got to sample your music (I was at work before), and I have to say, good work. Keep it up!
