I'd say "Ride..." was ahead of its time. Yes, it was more like half a year compared to the ten years of "Hammerheart", but ahead of its time nevertheless.

"Fight Fire With Fire" is more brutal than anything SLAYER did. SLAYER is a more intense band than METALLICA, but for sheer brutality, that song was it!
