Dream Theater "Illumination Theory"- gripes...

I thoroughly enjoy the new DT from start to finish but if I had to gripe on it here goes (and I am not the only one who feels this way): We all love and look forward to the epic 22 minute plus opus DT tune but in this case it loses me from time to time. Why? I love ambiance but I think sections of the song break the flow especially the 40 seconds of dead air before the ending section. Why would the band choose to do that especially after the extended new age vibe in the middle? There are amazing moments in the song but I think the points I mentioned hurt the track. With that said, I DO love the album I just wish the band thought this through in the editing room. I did play "engineer" and did my own edit of the song which came out quite well in my opinion. I Love DT, this is NOT a bash thread I just think with the power this album packs I wish it didn't end this way.
