I remember last year at progpower during Rage when myself and some other fans moshed it up for those heavy metal gods that there were people complaining about it!

I sure don't know why? It's a metal show \m/ so it shouldn;t be no surprise to anyone. There have been shows in my area with Blind Guardian, Symphony X, and even Dio and all the shows had pit's and nobody complained unlike last year at progpower. I surely like to get some mosh pit energy goin for Adiago, & Edguy. Oh btw my friends who also want to mosh it up are no fans of bands like Deicide or Suffocation . Unlike the guy who blamed death/black metal fans last year for the pit during Rage.

I do not like mosh pits at all ... when I pay about $450 for a concert experience as ProgPower I want to be comfortable and enjoy my experience. Moshing at a ProgPower show makes no sense to me as most fans of the genre find it more annoying than anything else. I hate having to worry about a stupid mosh pit when I am trying to enjoy a concert. I recall last year someone was trying to get a mosh pit going during Nightwish ... ugh, I can't stand it!

Totally agree with you on this one.

I appreciate the energy and enthusiasm that comes with public displays of affection for your band. However, MOSHING WILL GET YOU THROWN OUT ON YOUR ASS IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. I had no idea there was a pit last year or I would have shut it down. This year, security will be advised of the rule and escort moshers out immediately.

If you are not happy with this rule, feel free to voice your opinion and then abstain from buying a ticket.

Amen, Glenn!!!

yah the main problem was people who didn't want to participate getting slammed into... granted, it come with moshing territory, but 98% of the attendees at PP are there for a relaxed, fist/headbanging experience. I used to love moshing, but not at PP. I'm there to take in everything on stage (which is why our group gets seats). Some girls were getting shoved around last year and that ticked off a lot of people.

What it boils down to is people don't want to be distracted from "seeing" these bands perform live, and for what could quite possibly be the only time they can see some of these bands.

thank god who needs them, people only get hurt

I thought the Rage one was pretty mild, there wasnt anyone getting hurt it was mainly running and pushing. The one that pissed me off was the guy who kept yanking on my Nightwish shirt duyring Nightwish and tore it. I dont like to mosh though, esp when EDGUY is on stage and hell since about 99% of the people here dont want it I think its perfectly understandable that Glenn is enforcing a no mosh or get the fuck out rule.

I was on the Rage mosh pit last year. I thought it was cool. Non-vilent kinda.

Since it bothers so many of you, I won't participate... :loco:
First off, there is nothing to particapate in, and second, you won't participate because, if you do, you will have your ass thrown out; it has nothing to do with it bothering bothers many of us...

Thank god! I got hurt in a moshpit at a BLS concert and will never forget that experience. The stupid venue, (Stone Pony, Asbury Park) actually served beer, outdoors on pavement in bottles. Of course everyone threw them on the ground in front of the stage because they didn't want to lose their spot. When all the moshing broke out I got knocked around and couldn't keep my footing on the debris. Thanks to my bro for yanking me out of there and Zakk's dad for letting me stand with him on the sound platform. Moshing should be contained in a designated area...if allowed at all.

Um... if i were a fan of such a thing known as gay nu metal i wouldn't be buying a ticket for progpower or be wasting my time on this forum. wouldn't you think? Why would we want to go to such guy things like Nu metal concerts where the bands lack the passion, energy, and emotion that Actual metal has. Anyways since it bothers soo many of you to just mosh i won't . The mosh pit wasn't even violent unlike shows from Slayer, Dying Fetus, Deicide, etc.. It's just some aggressive fun. Nobody was extremely hurt.

Oh Glen btw....

Enforcing a no mosh rule will not stop metal fans like myself coming because metal is more about music then just moshing. I just felt like posting because of the regards of last years mosh pit during Rage. Thank you
