Van Halen - Live Tokyo Dome

I got some nasty weird pop up phishing/fishing/fisting windows when I went to the above link. No harm done, just annoying as fuck, they wouldn't go away until you shutdown from the task manager.

Some comments about stuff like this.

(1) If anyone is using IE (Internet Exploder) they should change to a better browser such as Firefox.
(2) Use a good popup blocker such as ad-block plus. I also like bitdefender's traffic-light. Both of these browser add-ons are free.
(3) If you like Chrome but don't like Google, SR-Ware Iron is a good alternative.

Oh look, its my 2**8 post here on this forum. How nerdy.

I have seen Van Halen quite a few times with Sammy Hagar from 1988 forward, and with the exception of the Balance tour, they did not disappoint--although I'm fortunate that when I saw their 2004 reunion it was early on the tour before the relationship had disintegrated. With Hagar, they may not have had the over-the-top energy, but they were a far more professional band that still managed to sound great.

I also saw them with Gary Cherone in 2008, and it was far better than I expected, given the disappointing VH3 album. They played a great mix of material from the various eras, breaking out some DRL songs they hadn't done in over a decade.

Then I saw them with DLR in 2012, and I was quite disappointed. Having seen DLR live on a few solo gigs (1991 and 2002), I wasn't expecting that much. David is just a bad live performer, making the shows all about himself, like that drunk uncle who wants to be the life of the party. I had hoped that when he got back with VH he'd reign that attitude in a bit, and focus on giving a killer performance, but he did not. And the rest of the band gave what was pretty much a by-the-numbers performance. Noting truly atrocious--just not what I had expected from the mighty Van Halen. I got more of a sense of watching Van Halen when I saw Sammy's live act in the 2000's, especially when he was joined by Michael Anthony.
