So I recently discovered this Progressive/Power metal band named YNIS VITRIN. The band had originally announced the release of their album, The Sad Art of Smiling for the year of 2007. However, destiny hit them hard. Their keyboardist, Antonio Soccol suffered a tragic motorcycle accident and went into a coma for 27 days. Antonio would end up paraplegic. The band, longtime friends opted for waiting indefinitely for Antonio to start doing some physical therapy/physical rehabilitation to go on. The band was in limbo since then and they finally decided to release the album (with Antonio on board), and make it available for free on the website www.ynisvitrin.com.br
They remind me of bands such as Mindflow, Fates Warning and Evergrey. Solid disc that deserves to be checked out!
